This manga could be classified as being historical. It takes you along the travels of a white explorer, taking his time along the nineteenth-century silk road, and soaking in the lifestyles of different tribes and people he comes in contact with.

The manga has one of the best art styles around in the game. Its stories bring life to characters so unique and inspiring that it leaves you with an ache to want to have lived in that period.

It’s a breath of fresh air in an industry filled to the brim with whimsical fairytales and stories so far out of this world that it becomes impossible to relate with.

Anime

Trigun

#action#adventure

Towns have been laid to waste and fear runs rampant in the hearts of the civilians, all because of the actions of a single man. With a $$60 billion bounty on his head, Vash the stampede is the protagonist of this gun-centered show.

However, Vash is portrayed as being a pacifist which goes against all kinds of rumors circling him. It is revealed that most of the damage attributed to Vash is caused by pursuers who seek his bounty and other assassins who follow him because of his past.

With amazing gunman skills, retrograde amnesia, and a past full of mystery, Vash and this anime will give you western vibes with a twist of fantasy making it an interesting watch.

just a guy casually holding a toilet seat.

The story follows a guy who gets turned into a fatty to fight off invading aliens and try to get back to his daughter as she didn’t recognize him in his hero mode.

An orb finds its way to earth. It is capable of transforming into anything it sees. It first transforms into a rock, then moss. A wolf nearing its end passes by and the orb changes into it. It wanders around in that form till it reaches a boy who happens to be the owner of the wolf.

Tragic events follow, and the orb finds itself completing the boy’s journey to find a paradise his fellow tribesmen went out to find.

This emotion-filled story is about an otherworldly being experiencing the world with all its joys and tribulation. One of those that make you reflect on life.

feelings will hit you like a train when you watch this anime

Made in abyss

#adventure

A giant deep hole into the earth has become the fascination of many explorers. The hole itself is situated on an island and has attracted so many people till a town formed around it.

Unlike the title of this anime, the art style and animation of this anime are vibrant, cute, and full of life. The story follows an orphaned girl who wishes to venture into the hole and uncover its secrets while at the same time finding her mother.

The story starts off to be a nice adventurous one with kids breaking some rules to achieve what they want but gradually, the colorful adventures fade as they dive further into the hole and the world they live into. Terrifying hierarchies are revealed and the classic abuse of power takes a really dark turn as the kids struggle to keep themselves barely alive in the hole.

A story that keeps you in a constant worry state but also keeps you coming back for more, definitely one of the top-tier shows on this list.

With that, I close off this review. The anime and manga mentioned on this list might be subject to a personal bias but are still enjoyable.
